The clergyman stated, "You don't have character as a man if you don't have money." According to him, financial stability tests a man's ability to remain humble, loyal, and respectful. He explained that a man who, despite his wealth, can control his pride, resist the urge to chase multiple women, and still show respect to people—especially women who may not be as affluent—is the true definition of a man with character.

He warned women not to judge a man’s character solely based on how he behaves in lack, stressing that "A broke man can be humble," but that humility may be a result of circumstance, not conviction.
